Even though I currently can’t paint or draw, I hope my disability is birdlike, and I can get a treasure pile of stuff done !
On Saturday, during our “relationship building” cross country skiing trip, I fell on an ungroomed hill and broke my right thumb. This digit, as you can see from the picture above, has now been put in a cast, so I’m afraid the locking studio door knob I wanted to have done this Friday, is not done, but my injury has led to this:
Yes, its a disability notice, to translate, since it’s in la belle langue de Quebec, my home province, I am off work for a few weeks! Thus, I hope to not only get a lock on the studio door, but to absolutely hyper-clean my studio for the series!
It is my arm that is affected and not my leg, but I keep thinking of the character “Long John Silver” from Treasure Island where it says:”…he carried a crutch(cast in my case), which he managed with wonderful dexterity, hopping about upon it like a bird…”. Even though I currently can’t paint or draw, I hope my disability is birdlike, and I can get a treasure pile of stuff done !
